Welcome to Nate & Katie's Bracket Challenge
Thanks for checking out our site! This is a home-made bracket system for our friends, family, and anyone one else that want to take part in the best time of the year, the NCAA basketball tournament.
The site is definitely a work in progress. After deleting most of it by accident a couple years ago, I've been slowly trying to get things working again. Unfortunately, I don't have much ready for this season. I do have plans written up for an entirely new site, so hopefully I will get off of my butt and start in on that this summer. There will be a huge difference once I get through them, so be sure to check us out next year.
I am taking suggestions for what you'd like to see included on the site. I'll set up a form so you can submit them, and should be able to view them all online at some point. I will post the link belowin the Announcements section when it's ready.
Until then, thanks visiting our site. We had some huge numbers a few years ago, and it's my goal to bring all of those people back and then some!

Mar 20, 2008 -- The games have started, so the brackets have been locked. If you want to sign up for next year, go right ahead and you will be notified when the tourney rolls around next spring. Thanks!

Mar 20, 2008 -- The day is finally here! Games start in just over 3 hours, and I cannot wait. I have the full schedule for the first round up and available. Be sure to check it out on the Results Page. If you haven't gotten your brackets in yet, get a move on!
The yearly Smack-Fest between Katie & Zac is heating up once again on the Smack Board. I'm thinking next year I will have to give them a page all to themselves rather than fill up the suggestions thread I started. If you do have any legit suggestions, please send them to bracket@natealthoff.com.
So that's it for now. I will be sending out an email to everyone that has a bracket in this year after the first round (Friday night), and will also post my thoughts right here if something odd happens along the way. Good luck, and I hope you do well on your brackets...but not better than me!

Mar 17, 2008 -- OK! So I got all of the teams entered and first round games created. I tested the bracket and found many bugs, but believe I got through all of them. I'm sure there are still a few here and there, but I think we're ready to get rolling. I will be sending out an email over lunch today to all of those that took part last year that will include your login info. If you do not get this email, please contact me at the email above.

Mar 13, 2008 -- I've started adding the teams that are already in the tournament. Trying to remember how everything works isn't easy. I'll be sending out an email hopefully tomorrow to remind any past members that we're still doing it this year.
Should be interesting to see if this stuff still works...and even more interesting if I remember how to use it.

Hello, we just want to welcome you to Nate & Katie's Bracket. We hope you enjoy the competition this year, although it will be missing some functionality again this year.
Things haven't changed since last year, so we're still lacking in a number of areas. But we can keep track of the scores so that's what matters!
What we do have working:

So please sign up and enjoy the best time of the year. College basketball is (in our opinion) the best sporting event around, and the tournament features some of the most competitive games. We are both avid fans, and want to share our passion for the game with everyone else. Good luck, and get out of our way. We're aiming for the top this year!
